USA Made art glass celestial super nova sculpture. A gather of clear molten glass is pulled from the crucible and a pick up of glass granules are applied over white glass powder. The Nova features are then created by hand working the fused colors into a sweep around the orb before casing the design in crystal clear glass. Nova are caused by the accretion of hydrogen onto the surface of a star, which ignites and starts nuclear fusion in a runaway manner. 3" W x 4.5" H
